STAC, May 5-11. If you have already registered, your materials will be
arriving shortly.
The Western Conference will again be sponsoring the Great Western Spring Sectional Tournament at Clubs (STAC) Monday, May 5 through Sunday, May 11. Click on the registration form at www. thewesternconference.com to register your games for the Great Western STAC. If you have already registered, thank you.
Procedures
1. E-mailed game files for computer scored games or faxed written reports of the results of manually scored club games conducted as part of this tournament must be in the hands of Betty Bratcher, within 36 hours of your game. No results can be submitted by U.S. mail. Reports received after the deadline will be omitted from calculations in determining overall winners.
2. The final reporting period for the STAC ends 24 hours after the last event ends. Later reports will be returned to the club, to be reported as a regularly scheduled club session.
3. Sections with fewer than five tables may be reported, combined, and included as a Secondary Championship event.
4. Invitational games will be scored and ranked as sectionally rated Championship events with one restriction (80%) unless these games are opened to all players and advertised as such.
5. Divisions in stratified events will be standardized as follows: Strat A 1500 MPs and over; Strat B 500-1500 MPs; and Strat C 0-500 MPs. All clubs are encouraged to stratify their events to give their players the greatest opportunity to win silver points. Any players in games not stratified or limited will be treated as Strat A.
6. Limited masterpoint events may also be stratified. Any normal stratification is acceptable.
7. Swiss Teams events are allowed any session. Overall awards for team events will be for that site.
8. All pairs events overalls will be computed across all participating clubs.
9. Mail the per table sanction fee in a check made out to Western Conference, ACBL to Jerry Fleming, 2175 La Tierra Rd, Los Alamos, NM 87544.
Your check should be sent within 48 hours of the tournament for all events you held. Sanction fees are required for fill-in pairs. Please be prompt.
Hand records will be e-mailed as .pdf files as well as the instructions. If for some reason you have a problem handling .pdf files, let me know. Results will be posted at www.thewesternconference. com within 48 hrs of your games - hopefully less, depending on the speed the reports are received. If you intend to have your club participate in the Great Western Spring STAC you must fill in the registration form online asap.
No Phone Registrations, Please.
